Here are some of my favourite sites, I visit them all frequently and for different reasons, some for inspiration and ideas, some for a laugh and a giggle, some for technical know how. Some are blogs, some are portfolios, but in my opinion, all of them are bloody awesome. Browse at your leisure.
A fantastic blog with a great selection of work from around the globe. Updated regularly and always a great site to pop onto when in need of inspiration.
Creative blog from Ogilvy Amsterdam, some great creative ideas on show here and a great resource for curing brain rot. I check in regularly to see what’s going on around the globe.
Great site that always has the best in creative thought, be it advertising, fashion or design, really cared for and well maintained site, always a good source of inspiration.
A great website featuring work across all media from around the globe, multiple contributers so I always find that this blog is updated more frequently than certain others that I visit. The fact that there are multiple contributers also means that there is a nice variety of comments and opinions, not always agreed with at this end, but it makes a nice change.
Another great collection of the worlds best creative work.
Have recently come across these guys, based in the UK their illustrations and graphics work is fantastic, from the little contact I have had with them they seem like a cool bunch too. Be sure to take a look at their blog, some really nice stuff up there and a great set up as a studio. Some really, really impressive pieces up there too, great site for a snoop around and some inspiration.

The wonderful Panti, the matriarchal namesake of the the wonderful Panti bar on Dublin’s Capel St always has something interesting to say or show to her many many loyal fans. Never fails to provoke thought or may you giggle, take a look and see what you think.
Some great work up on here, it’s a blog with contributers from all over the world, so a great source of work that might slip underneath the radar of other advertising blogs, I have referenced a number of cool ideas I have seen here on my own blog. Lots of stuff to pick and choose from here, take a look and see what you think for yourself.

This site showcases the work of photographer and surfer Clark Little who takes his shots from inside the wave while surfing (talk about multitasking). He really manages to get some great images which are also available to buy as prints from the site.
Kim Haughton is an award winning photojournalist and documentary film maker. She is a graduate of the Dublin Institute of Technology School of Photography. She is a four time award winner in the PPAI (Press Photographers Association of Ireland) photojournalism awards and has been awarded six grants under the Simon Cumbers Media Challenge Fund…AND she is bloody fantastic.
Logan Mclain is a Dublin based textile artist doing really interesting things with his chosen medium. The artist takes contemporary and often controversial subject matter and displays it in a format which i find engaging and incredibly interesting. His T-shirt designs offer a social commentary in the same way as advertising can. I would also be extremely interested in seeing how his embroidery would lend itself to advertising, i feel it could make for eye catching print and outdoor, or perhaps an oversized embroidered ambient piece?… The jammy little sod is off travelling for the next year so the site has come down, but he will hopefully at some stage start working from it again, so the link stays!

David Lachapelle is a US photographer who’s career I have tracked for years, I love his style. The artist photographs a number of different subject matters but mainly comments on the world of celebrity. He has also worked on a number of high profile advertising campaigns, a number of which have been aired here and in the UK. Take a look at his site, I hope you like his work as much as I do.

Ruth Medjber is a very talented Dublin based photographer making quite the name for herself, she has photographed any number of up and coming bands and well established artists. Currently photographing for Hotpress magazine her style is fresh and edgy and I just love it. Would love to collaborate with her someday and have her stamp her style on some of my ideas. Her blog showcases her work, talent and opinions so take a look and see what you think
Paul Arden is an advertising great and has offered a lot of advice to aspiring creatives and those who are long established in the industry. I have read two of his books now, whatever you think, think the opposite and it’s not how good you are, it’s how good you want to be. Both are very short and can easily be read on your lunch break, but if you are lacking motivation, inspiration or just want to be entertained then they are for you. He has unfortunately passed away but take a look at the site and perhaps sign the book of condolances

A great blog which always inspires, loads of interesting thoughts on design work and some really inspiring stuff good for a nose. Take a look and see what you think, they have recently hit 15,000 views so are still a bit ahead of me, and I can see why.
Great site for viewing brilliant work from all over the world, all media is covered and it is updated regularly. Also provides some great insights and evaluations of the work as it is displayed. Always worth a look when you’re feeling creatively challenged.
The Clark Little pics are great. very talented guy. David Doubilet also has some amazing underwater pics. check him out.
